湖北省造光绪三十年大清银币双龙一两是光绪三十年( 1904年)湖北银元局铸造的。 分为大字和小写两种，银币文案优秀，龙图生动传世，成为清代龙洋中的典范。

过去，在中国银币和金钱是并行的，但由于西方银币大量流入，代替了不方便采用的银团。 光绪十三年( 1887年)，两广总督张之洞奏准在广东设局制造银元，拉开了我国利用正规机器自制新型银元的序幕。 新银币是模仿墨西哥鹰洋制作的，重量被七毛钱一分。 但是在这个转变的过程中，出现了一种规格与众不同，俗称湖北壹两的大型银币。
