胡禹出生于1939年1月，笔名白云主人、黄河居住者、华山墨翁，1962年毕业于山东艺术专业电影科(山东艺术学院前身)，政府机关退休，是中国共产党员、经济师、书法家。 现任中国民族建筑研究会书画艺术专业委员会客座教授、中国民族艺术家协会终身名誉主席兼特别顾问、中国中外名人文化研究会学术委员会会员、新闻网络艺术总监、中国书画画家联谊会会员、中国书画画家联谊会新文艺集团书画画家实务委员会会员、中国槐联学会理事、省市级书法家协会会员、国际书法大典编委、 作为山东金秋书画院副院长、黄河分院院长、济南白云书画社顾问、洛阳颜真卿书法研究会会员，其作品多次参加国内外书画大展并获奖，被美国、法国、港澳台等国家和地区人士收藏。 入选作品在法国卢浮宫、中国历史博物馆、中国美术馆、政协礼堂等地展出。 载有《国际书法篆刻大观》、《国际现代书法集》、《海峡两岸书画名家精品集》、《首届中韩优秀书画画家》、韩国国会邀请展作品集等80多种典籍。 济南电视台、中国美术网、华夏书画网等多家媒体进行了报道。 年应邀编撰《盛世翰墨名家经典》(国礼卷)，被原文化部艺术人才中心选为中国书法十大家。 年12月，作品入选在北京中国国家画院国展美术中心举行的深深扎根于人民的优秀人民书画家作品成果展，接受了中央电视台等多家媒体的采访，向全国人民提出了建议。 中国人中文写得好，从小学生开始成立中小学书法研究会是进入书法课的最佳途径。 年书法作品献礼全国两会。 获得了题贺十九大艺术奖励奖。 抗日战争胜利七十周年书法展在北京举行后，在美国旧金山中国抗日战争胜利七十周年纪念馆展出了两幅作品，在人民日报、欧网、本网、环球艺术网等多个网站上刊登了书法作品，年胡曾禹被国际名人百科授予中国最美书画名家。

胡禹倾注了毕生心血，致力于下一代的教育，推动了书法进入校园，为书法课的进入做出了卓越的贡献。 书法艺术是最具代表性的中国文化符号之一，书法进入校园活动具有十分重要的意义，将在学校文化建设史上留下浓墨重彩。 目的是继承和发扬中华优秀的以前传下来的文化，提高国民的汉字书写能力和文化素养。

胡禹为社会举办了许多公益活动，义务为街头商店、药店、理发店等题写牌匾，向灾区捐款，义务每年春节到社区街道写春联，多次发送文化基础。 胡禹先生还计划建设最大的诗书画苑，全国书画家齐聚一堂，为中华以前流传下来的文化传承而奋斗。
